about us

 We are Chef Bob Winterman and Becky Winterman of Catering by Bob. Chef  Bob has over 35 years experience with cooking for restaurants, parties  and events. Chef Bob is a fantastic chef that will leave your guests raving about your party and how awesome the food was.

We  are located in the heart of Panama City, Florida but travel up to an hour away to the surrounding areas as well. Give us a call, we are ready to make your next event a spectacular success! 

Awards and Credentials

 Chef Bob Winterman opened up Catering By Bob in 2002,  however he has been a chef since 1975. In that time, Chef Bob has worked  for the Boar’s Head Restaurant, Breakwater – Bridgetender, Fore-N-Aft  and the Treasure Ship restaurant. 

 

Chef Bob has an American Culinary Federation certification as a Certified Executive Chef®. This certification differentiates Chef Bob from other chefs. This certification shows:

  • his skills and culinary technique have reached a certain benchmark
  • he is well versed in culinary nutrition, food safety and sanitation
  • he recognizes the importance of high standards for food preparation


 Chef Bob has also been actively involved in the Bay County Chef’s Association and he was on the Board of Advisors for the Gulf Coast Community College Culinary program. 


 Chef Bob has also won several awards for his cooking talents:

1st Place (twice) in the Bay County Pasta Challenge
2nd Place (twice) in the Bay County Pasta Challenge
1st Place & 2nd Place (twice) in Death By Chocolate
1st Place in the Panama City Mall Gumbo and Chowder Competition
3rd Place (first runner up) in the Florida Governors Cup of Seafood Excellence (out of 650 entrants)
1st Place People Choice Award (4 times) at the Bay Culinary Fest
